Group of children in Campulung
In 1994 some Sisters came to live in Campulung having been involved in a Summer School for a few years before that. In May of that year the first candidates from Romania joined the Congregation so it was necessary to establish a Novitiate and in 1997 they made first profession followed by final profession in 2003.

From the beginning the Sisters have been involved in visiting orphanages, hospitals, the elderly in their homes, supporting the poor and the marginalized. They work closely with the Priests and are active members of the local parish as they take Catechism classes, organize social gatherings for the elderly and retreat days.

In 1996 the Congregation helped to establish Scoala Sfantul Iacob with two departments, Preschool and Primary and in 2000 the Secondary department was initiated. The Sisters are still involved in it as they encourage the development of a Christian education. This school received Accreditation status in May 2008. The Sisters’ charism is very much to the forefront of their minds as they encourage pupils from different types of backgrounds to be part of this school family.
