Day for Religious Liverpool Archdiocese
3rd December 2016

Men and women religious from the Liverpool archdiocese met for a day’s conference in St. Anne’s Parish Centre, Ormskirk. The theme of the talks was ‘The Mass’ and the presentation was by Fr. John McLoughlin, Parish Priest of St. Stephen’s in Warrington, until recently a member of the Evangelisation Team for the Archdiocese.

Fr. John gave two interesting and informative talks, in the morning and afternoon, explaining the history of parts of the Mass and describing the development of various prayers and procedures. The religious joined the parish for midday Mass before sharing lunch together, helped by members of the parish community. Fr. John continued in the afternoon before giving an opportunity for questions and discussion.

It is always good to gather as religious, to share our faith journey and our stories and this day was no exception.
Many thanks to Fr. John and to Fr. Godric, Vicar General for Religious, who organised and hosted the day.
