Poverty

In its very deepest meaning the vow of Poverty acknowledges that we humans own nothing of the created order but share everything.

The wonder of creation

The important underlying values of the vows are simplicity, sharing and ecological stewardship.

The public profession of the vow therefore challenges us to:

live simply, uncluttered by excess baggage for personal comfort

be available for the mission of the Congregation

share generously of our time, talents and resources

take up the call to be stewards of creation, respecting the natural ecological processes of our universe

denounce and confront injustices that divide our world, polarise people and undermine human dignity

'Cultivate in your heart a great love of simplicity.'

Simple beautylive simply
